iPhone data recovery – 5 steps to recovering your lost pictures from an iPhone

If you’ve lost pictures from your iPhone, don’t worry, there’s hope. In this article, we will walk you through the 5 simple steps necessary to recover your lost pictures from your iPhone. Even if you don’t have a backup, following these steps will hopefully help you get your pictures back.

Make a Back-up

The first thing you need to do is make a backup of your iPhone. When you do this, you create a copy of your iPhone on your computer. You can then use this backup if you ever need to recover your iPhone data. To do this, turn off your iPhone and then plug it into your computer with a Lightning cable. After doing so, launch iTunes and make sure the iPhone is selected as the source.

Then, click on the Summary tab and select Backup in the bottom-left corner. On the next screen, select a backup destination and then click backup. That’s it. You can now make sure that a backup has been created on your computer.  To find out where the backup is, open up iTunes on your computer and click on the iPhone icon in the top-left corner.

Then, click on the Backups tab in the bottom-right corner. From there, click on the Backup button next to your iPhone’s name and you should see the backup named with a numbered suffix.

Install iPhone Data Recovery on Your Computer

The next step to attempting data recovery iPhone is to install iPhone Data Recovery on your computer. This will allow you to access your iPhone photos from your computer. To do this, download the app from the Apple App Store and then open it up on your computer.

Click on the Start Scan button and then wait for the app to finish scanning your iPhone. When it is finished, click on the Choose folder button and then select the photos that you want to recover. After doing so, click on the Recover button next to the title of the photo to start the data recovery process.

Connect Your iPhone to a Computer

Next, connect your iPhone to your computer with a Lightning cable. Make sure that you are charging your iPhone first.

Then, plug the Lightning end of the cable into your iPhone and then plug the other end into your computer. Make sure that you have allowed your computer to detect your iPhone by going through the steps for enabling mobile devices.

Erase Your iPhone

Now erase your iPhone. This allows you to completely remove all of your data from your iPhone. To do this, first, make sure that your iPhone is powered off and unplugged from your computer.

Then, go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. Make sure that you have selected Erase All Content and Settings, not just Settings. This last step is necessary because you need to erase all of your personal data from your iPhone

Restore Your iPhone From Backup

To do this, first, make sure that your iPhone is completely erased and that you have installed iPhone Data Recovery on your computer.

Then, connect your iPhone to your computer with a Lightning cable and launch iTunes on your computer. Once it is launched, select your iPhone in the top-right corner and click on the Summary tab in the bottom-right corner. Click on the Backup button next to your backup and then click on Restore from Backup. From there, click on the backup that you want to restore.

When you are done, your iPhone will be restored from your backup.
